Under a hot day, our Santiago del Teide 2024 Aquathlon once again held its third edition successfully yesterday morning, August 25; a sports event that each year becomes even more consolidated in the island's sports calendar and that, on this occasion, had more than 150 participants who fought for glory during the course of 5 km of running and 1 km of swimming in Playa de la Arena.
The youth Ruimán Delgado managed to be crowned the winner in the men's category with a time of 38:54 minutes, followed by Daniel Hernández in second place with a time of 40:12 minutes and, finally, Airán Peraza managed to take the bronze with a time of 40:30 minutes.
As for the female category, our local athlete Dácil Hernández was able to take a new victory with a time of 45:29 minutes, followed by the second classified, Marta Ruiz, with a time of 46:26 minutes and, finally, Virginia Salinero completed the women's podium with a time of 48:31 minutes.
Regarding the relay modality, Ayoze Pérez and Héctor Torres won with a time of 44:30 minutes, followed by Blas Pérez and Paula Rodríguez with a time of 45:02 minutes and, finally, with a time of 48:30 minutes, Alicia Fernández and Rebeca Calzadilla were the winners among the female couples.
Finally, regarding the local category, the male winner was Emilio Jesús del Barrio, with a time of 47:28 minutes, followed by Jonay Rivero -51:37 minutes- and the third place finisher was Damiano Bonazzi -54:55 minutes- .
On the other hand, in the women's competition, the winner was Dácil Hernández Hernández, while the second classified was Alba Delgado -59:48 minutes- and Ana Belén Socas, who with a time of 1:00:32 minutes managed to take third place. classification.
