Santiago del Teide will reinforce its tourism strategy of sustainability in the destination at Fitur with its campaign “Santiago del Teide, a destination for everyone”

 

The new promotional tourist material will be accompanied by an online and offline marketing campaign aimed at the national and international market.

 

The municipality of Santiago del Teide attends the International Tourism Fair, FITUR 2024, with new promotional material called “Santiago del Teide, a destination for everyone” that is integrated into the strategy presented last year called “Sustainability in Destination".

 

With it, one more step is taken to turn Santiago del Teide into a municipality where you can live inclusive experiences, making a firm commitment to reducing inequalities and improving accessibility in activities that can be carried out both in the marine environment and in the protected natural spaces of the destination. All of this in collaboration with companies that already offer experiences adapted to different types of disabilities. In this sense, the city council has worked together with whale watching companies to make Santiago del Teide the only municipality in Europe to offer whale watching adapted to the 4 existing types of disabilities (visual, auditory, physical and intellectual), which will make us a reference in this type of activities and will position us internationally.

 

This new promotional campaign will be carried out online and offline, and will be present in the national and international market (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark). In line with the application of new technologies to tourism promotion, the new material will be uploaded to the Inventrip platform and, in this way, will be present during the Fitur celebration through the geolocation of smart beacons in the busiest places in Madrid (IFEMA, Madrid-Barajas Airport, Terminal T-4, Tenerife South Airport and Tenerife North, as well as the Atocha Station or the Méndez Álvarez Station) and, in addition, an NFC card has also been created, also developed with this technology which contains the new promotional video for this campaign and a series of resources linked to this promotion that the future visitor and those staying at the destination can use when designing their trip to Santiago del Teide.

 

The municipality will continue to commit to sustainability in all its aspects. It's a goal. The commitment to sustainable actions, to projects where sustainability is truly the protagonist, both in the public and private spheres, will make Santiago del Teide an increasingly competitive destination and, of course, it will be able to reach the different issuing markets. with a differentiated promotion, taking into account that it has been one of the selection criteria when choosing a destination by travelers.
