Santiago del Teide, the only municipality in the province that repeats the Flag Q award for tourist quality on its beaches
Obtaining this certificate demonstrates the correct way of working that pursues excellence and continuous improvement in the management of municipal beaches.
Santiago del Teide is in luck. And the beaches of La Arena and Los Guíos de Los Gigantes repeat, once again, as the only beaches in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife that have obtained the Q Flag award for tourist quality on their beaches, which will allow the municipality to differentiate itself from other tourist destinations and obtain prestige, reliability, rigor and promotion.
The Q for Tourism Quality is a certification granted by the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE), which positions these beaches and the municipality as an example of quality management. Establishments endorsed by the "Q for Quality" have passed strict audits that ensure that their service provision is a guarantee of quality, safety and professionalism. It is a badge that grants prestige, grants reliability to both residents and visitors and helps in tourism promotion.
This brand not only recognizes respect for environmental values and the sustainability of ecosystems, but also evaluates the beach services, from security, rescue and first aid systems; information, cleaning and selective waste collection; maintenance of facilities and equipment; as well as access and hygienic and leisure services, of a municipal and private nature.
In this sense, the commendable work carried out by the West Coast Rescue company in charge of maintaining these beaches is essential to repeat and maintain these types of awards.
