Santiago del Teide stands out in GastroCanarias with SDT Gastro Lovers

Santiago del Teide participated in the 7th gastronomic fair of the Canary Islands, GastroCanarias, which took place from September 27 to 29 at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds. The emblematic products of the municipality left all the attendees, never better said, with a very good taste in their mouths.

To be able to talk about the real success of the municipality's stand, it has been necessary to wait a reasonable time, since, since its completion, only congratulations and good comments have been received. Months of work reflected in 3 intense days, where the gastronomy of Santiago del Teide fascinated each and every one of those who had the opportunity to try a little piece of our land.

From early in the morning, the breakfasts at Macaronesia Coffee Shop Bakery, led by chef Samuel Morales from the Pejeverde restaurant in Los Gigantes, in addition to the exquisite barraquitos prepared by Mario Rodríguez, from the Casa Pancho restaurant, formed queues to try the toast avocado, pico de gallo and egg, accompanied by almond cookies.

Each of the activities in the program, such as the Ruta del Barraquito, or the Benjé wine tastings, ENVÍNATE, by the sommelier Mario Rodríguez, were well received by those attending the fair. Santiago del Teide did not leave anyone indifferent. From the City Council we want to take advantage of the occasion to thank all those who have had something to do with the fact that this great work has been carried out.

The mayor of the municipality, D. Emilio Navarro declared that "we have come to claim the kilometer 0 product, as a delicacy of Santiago del Teide". The councilor responsible for the Primary Sector area, Krysten Martín, also described SDT GastroLovers' visit to the fair as a unique experience "we offer nature, heritage, culture and how could it be otherwise, the best gastronomy"
