The Santiago del Teide City Council has approved the granting of subsidies, through the competitive public competition procedure, of aid equivalent to 90% of the full IBI fee, to help with the expenses of the habitual residence. For this call for aid, the City Council allocates a budget of € 30,000.
Neighbors who prove their status as pensioners, long-term unemployed, people with dependents with disabilities or victims of gender violence, who pay the real estate tax of their habitual residence, who have a vulnerable social economic situation and that they meet and accredit the requirements specified in the Regulatory Bases.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on December 15 and it will be an essential requirement to request an appointment by calling 922-86-31-50. This year, a place will also be set up in the coastal area to be able to process these grants without having to go to the town hall itself.
The economic benefit is intended for the following groups:* Pensioners who receive a payment from a public body, due to retirement, widowhood, orphanhood or disability, or their spouse, if they are the owner of the home.
* People with disabilities (functional or intellectual diversity) or with relatives with this condition in their charge: the owner of the home must have a recognized disability equal to or greater than 65%; or the applicant must prove living with a family member
up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity in a straight line or collateral that has a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%.
* Long-term unemployed (or their spouse if the owner of the home). For these purposes, long-term unemployed are understood to be those people who are registered as jobseekers in the corresponding Public Employment Services, with a
Minimum and uninterrupted age of twelve months, prior to the date of application for this subsidy.
* Victims of Gender Violence: those who prove by means of a judicial sentence or restraining order that they recognize such situation.
To receive these grants, it will be an essential requirement that the beneficiary be registered and reside in Santiago del Teide with a minimum of one year of seniority in the home for which the subsidy is requested. In addition, you must be the owner, usufructuary or holder of a surface right over the home where you usually reside, provided that it is located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, and that, in addition, it appears as obliged to pay on the IBI receipt in relation to said dwelling.
Lastly, the income of the family unit must not exceed the established limits and neither must more than two dwellings be owned.
