The city council pays nearly €100,000 to students of the municipality in aid for rent and study expenses for the 2024/2025 course 

 

A total of 270 students from the municipality have benefited from this aid

 

The City Council of Santiago del Teide has recently paid, by bank transfer, nearly €100,000 to the 270 students of the municipality who were approved for aid to help cover study expenses and housing rental for those who are studying. post-compulsory courses, Baccalaureate, Intermediate and Higher Level Training Cycles and University Studies.

 

In this sense, the city council allocated a financial allocation of €39,600 in the case of rental aid and €60,000 in the case of aid to cover study expenses.

 

The maximum amounts of aid that have been delivered in these days were €373 per student for housing or residence rental costs (given the large number of applications) and €368 for study aid costs; Therefore, each university student has received, between them, aid of €741 to pay rent and to cover study expenses for the 2024/2025 academic year.

 

Emilio Navarro points out that "every year we try to improve the budget allocations for this purpose so that it reaches the largest possible number of students since they are an important economic support for families and, therefore, for the academic training of their sons and daughters."
