The municipal OMIC recovered nearly €10,000 in its mediations during 2022
This is evident from the annual report for the year 2022 made by that office
The Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC) of Santiago del Teide, which is located on Avenida Marítima de Playa de La Arena, has recently presented its annual report for the year 2022 and it states that it has intervened in 146 mediations, most with a positive result that allowed users to recover about €10,000.
The annual report also points out that a total of 50 complaints were collected and sent to the competent bodies in charge of handling these complaints.
On the other hand, the total number of consultations made by consumers in person at that office or by telephone was 166.
The most frequent inquiries and complaints have been those of mechanical workshops, mail, online purchases, online reservations, DIY stores, technical services, airlines and those that have increased considerably, have been insurance companies, electricity companies, banks and mobile phone companies, the same being 95% of the total of such claims.
