The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) of Santiago del Teide, which is located on Avenida Marítima de Playa de La Arena, has recently presented its annual report corresponding to the year 2021 and in it it is stated that intervened in 135 mediations, most with positive results that allowed users to have been able to recover more than € 10,000. The annual report also indicates that 42 were collected claims that were referred to the competent bodies in charge of managing these complaints. For its part, the total number of inquiries made by the consumers in person at said office or via phone number was 195. The most frequent inquiries and claims have been those of machine shops, furniture stores, private medical centers, mail, car rental, internet shopping, insurance, electricity companies, banks, airlines, shipping companies and mobile phone companies; these being 98% of the claims.
