The city council incorporates 25 new workers with the second phase of the 2023-2024 Social Employment Plan
This Thursday, May 9, Emilio Navarro welcomed the second group of employees who began their work on May 2 thanks to a total annual municipal investment of €300,000.
Mayor Emilio Navarro was present today, Thursday, May 9, at the official presentation of the second phase of the social employment agreement called "Santiago del Teide for the promotion of employment" that began on May 2.
Through it, the city council has hired 25 unemployed people from the municipality over the next six months, through the Extraordinary Social Employment Program 2023-2024, which is financed by the city council, the Canarian Employment Service (PIEC FUNDS). and the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
This group of workers corresponds to the second phase of a total of 52 unemployed people who have entered the workforce during the course of the year 2023-2024 thanks to a municipal investment for that entire year of €300,000 and a subsidy from the Service Employment Canary for this second phase of €221,417.42.
The mayor, who was accompanied by the Councilor for Employment, Germán Jiménez, and the Councilor for Human Resources, Gesabel Dorta, welcomed the people who will support the different municipal areas.
In this sense, the 25 people employed are divided into construction laborers, gardening laborers, agricultural laborers, bricklayers, electrician, home help, administrative assistants, agricultural foreman, education and free time monitor and sociocultural monitor.
